EWiEn Thematic Workshop: Electric Mobility in Ethiopia

Transportation and mobility issues in Ethiopia have long prompted the exploration of diverse solutions. In December 2023, EWiEn, in collaboration with the Ethiopian German Energy Cooperation, hosted a workshop on electric mobility with distinguished experts from the sector. The workshop provided an informative and critical analysis of the technology, infrastructure, policies, and regulations required to advance sustainable electric mobility in the country. This included crucial discussions on urban vs. rural mobility, the grid infrastructure required to support widespread EV adoption, current readiness for EV uptake, and existing government initiatives.
